About this file

This document is a Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for Commercial Items (RFQ) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office for the Hudson Valley VA Medical Center. The solicitation is seeking to procure one air compressor system for the Fire Department's emergency services, specifically a Bauer Verticus Plus Air Compressor with associated components including a fill station and storage cylinders. The requirement is set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 333912, with a response deadline of 08-26-2025 at 13:00 Eastern Time.

The air compressor system is designed for critical respiratory support during high-stakes emergency scenarios such as rescue operations, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescues, firefighting, and CBRN terrorism responses. The specifications require a breathing air station capable of refilling self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders, operating at up to 6,000 PSIG, with a purification system that meets specific air quality standards. The solicitation will be awarded based on a comparative evaluation considering technical capability, past performance, and price, with the goal of selecting the quote most advantageous to the government.
