About this file

This document contains a Request for Information (RFI) and responses related to a federal contract opportunity for repair work at the Syracuse VA Medical Center parking garage. The RFI addresses questions on post-tensioned concrete repair certification requirements, traffic coating installation qualifications, concrete reinforcement details, responsibility for road closures during repairs, and allowance amounts for rebar replacement. Responses provide clarification on required special inspector qualifications, contractor qualification by the membrane manufacturer, joint reinforcement specifications, unreinforced concrete elements, responsibility for coordinating road closures with the city, and use of the rebar allowance. Additionally, the related federal contract opportunity is for repairs to parking garage floors, beams, slabs, columns, walls, curbs, post-tensioned tendons, cracks, railings and other miscellaneous elements, to be provided by the contractor per drawings, specifications and contract documents for the Syracuse VAMC. The work is to be awarded through the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration VISN 2.
