1. Excavate to required depths.

2. Compact the exposed sub-base to 95% per ASTM D-1557.

3. If compaction cannot be achieved, stop construction and contact APCI.

4. Lay stone base in max. 9-inch lifts, compacting each lift to 75% per ASTM

D-2047. Use 6" base for a flat pad no frost walls.

5. Set froms and chamfer strips. Place and brace re-bar and ancor bolts. Allow min.

3 inches concrete cover for re-bar.

6. Carefully place concrete.

MECHANICALLY VIBRATE.

7. Slab to be poured level. Provide a rough broom surface finish.

8. Keep concrete moist. Cure per ACI-301 for seven days.

TANK ANCHORAGE SPECIFICATION (See Manufacturer's Tank Drawings for Baseplate & Bolt Circle Details):

1) 9,000-Gallon LIN/LOX Tank: Use total of Six (6) or Three (3) -1-1/4"Ø Hilti HAS-B7 Threaded Steel Rods per tank (i.e. two or one bolt per base plate) having a minimum embedment depth as indicated on this drawing at the table below using Hilti HIT-HY-200 Epoxy Anchoring System. Note: Where tank baseplates have holes larger than 1-1/2"Ø, provide 4"x4"x3/4" pre-drilled (1-1/2"Ø) "Dock Washer" plates to cover oversized anchor holes. Spot weld to base plates. Provide sufficient exposed threaded rods for baseplate thickness, washers, nuts, and overrun.
