Questions and Answers Solicitation/RFQ No: 36C24220Q0811 - Exterior Wireless Video Surveillance Camera System

1. On page 2 of 2, under “other contract requirements”, the last bullet point says the contractor is to provide a diagram of cameras’ locations. Please advise if floor plans are available of all the facilities listed in the SOW, if so, please provide tel/com or furniture layout / floor plans and Site plans in dwg format. The awarded vendor will be provided an aerial map to annotate camera locations.

2. What’s the Genetec GSC’s current software version? Security Center 5.8

3. Should cameras licenses be included in the proposal? Yes.

4. Is the security vendor required to provide high voltage power to the exterior locations such as poles or any existing exterior structure where cameras are to be installed? Power will be provided fat four locations. At the other two (2) remote locations, the vendor will need to design a solar power source in order to supply constant and uninterrupted power for up to 2 cameras and the vendor-provided wireless network equipment on a 365 days/7 days a week/24 hours a day basis.

5. Will the security vendor be required to provide power supplies and NEMA rated boxes at the poles? Yes.

6. The SOW mentions that the contract does not involve access to VA’s information systems, will the security vendor program the cameras in the existing GSC? No, the contractor will require certification in Genetec Security Center and will program the added cameras.

7. Could you please tell me if the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation posted as solicitation number 36C24220Q0811 will be a follow-on requirement to any work performed currently or in the past, or will this be a new requirement? New requirement.

8. If possible, can you please provide the most recent contract or task order number? N/A.

9. Can the Government please provide Incumbent Name and Incumbent Contract value, if they are at liberty to provide? N/A.

10. Can the Government please provide number of Full time Equivalents (FTE’S) for this Contract? N/A.

11. Can the Government please specify if this contract is Subject to SCA are not? if yes wage determination for Labor category? The Government is looking for network engineering and security installers. System Support Specialist & Engineering Technician listed on the wage determination for Suffolk might be similar.

12. Can the Government please specify an estimated labor hours for this contract? No, this is a design build.

13. Could Government please clarity B. Install eleven (11) VA-provided exterior IP cameras at the above stated locations. Camera Type: Axis Q3517-LVE and P5655-E” for both type it is 11 or Q3517-LVE(11) and P5655-E(11). A total of eleven (11) cameras with a combination of both models.

14. Can the Government please specify whether the Government will provide these Cameras, or these are procured by the contractor i.e., billable? The government is already in possession of these cameras and will provide them to the awarded contractor.

15. Can the Government please specify an estimated number of poles to be installed? Approximately 2-3. In addition, at two (2) locations where there are existing poles , the vendor must outfit the poles with a solar power source in order to supply constant and uninterrupted power for up to 2 cameras and the vendor-provided wireless network equipment on a 365 days/7 days a week/24 hours a day basis.
