3. Background:
The Buffalo VA Medical Center requires thirty-five (35) Stryker Prime TC transport chairs complete with associated ancillary items to complete a Buffalo VA project. This project was started to increase the efficiency of patient evacuation or egress in the event of an emergency situation. The Stryker Prime TC transport chairs provide superior maneuverability for these situations. The chairs are also able to be nested which will allow them to be stored in the patient areas that will require their use in the event of an emergency. The vertical orientation of the handles allows staff to utilize less force to initiate movement of the chairs than any other chair available.
