About this file

This notice announces the intent to sole source a contract extension to Redhawk Medical. The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven VA Medical Center requires continued lease of a mobile Multiple Detector Computed Tomography Imaging unit from Redhawk Medical to provide imaging services during an unexpected delay in repairs to its on-site CT suite. The six-month lease extension is considered a logical follow-on to the current contract. Only Redhawk Medical can meet the agency's requirement for an already on-site mobile CT system to maintain critical care services during the repair period. Interested parties may submit a response by December 22nd to argue capability to provide the required product or service.

Response Due Date: December 22, 2022, by 10:00AM (EST) NOTICE OF THE INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS Network Contract Office 1, Procurement Office East on behalf of The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven VA Medical Center located at 950 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516 intends to award a firm-fixed contract with no options to Redhawk Medical to extend the lease of mobile Multiple Detector Computed Tomography Imaging (MDCT) unit to provide continuity of care during the unexpected delay of the Cat Scan Suite leak mitigation project at West Haven VAMC. This is logical follow-on contract to extend the current lease by 6 months at West Haven VA Medical Center. The mobile CT system is currently in place at West Haven VAMC being leased through the Redhawk Company. The unit is already on site and under contract. The mobile CT service is imperative to the continued operation of West Haven VAMC’s Level 1A hospital system, both of their in-house CT systems will be out of commission during the leak mitigation project. Any gap in the CT service would have catastrophic impact on our services provided to the Emergency medicine program, the Operating Room program, and all our critical care units. This will be an extension to the current contract already in place. The proposed procurement is for products/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1).
