DESCRIPTION

1. Will the new CCURE system reside on the VA network or on a standalone network?

For the HA server to work properly, both the CCURE and HA server need to reside on the VA network.

1. If on the VA network, will the servers need to be imaged with VA Gold Image?

The CCURE server would need to be on the VA image, the HA server is Linux-based, so I don’t believe there is an image. However, both would be subject to compliance scans to stay up to security standards.

1. The Technical Specifications indicate that either CCURE version (2.8 or 2.9) is acceptable. However, for an upgrade project like this, it is important that we understand which version is the desire of the VA because additional labor will be required for the upgrade to version 2.9.

The SOW is amended to read Version 2.9

1. Would the VA consider providing the contractor with a virtual server to run the CCURE and Innometriks software?

VM host is not feasible for VBA St. Louis Regional Office. The physical server is required, as specified in the SOW.

1. Is the VA able to verify the current firmware on the existing iStar panels? This will impact the upgrade to the server software.

6.1.3.20151.i5 – all but one panel 6.6.2.20855.i5 - that one panel

1. Is the VA able to provide an inventory of all panels and readers on the current system?

Panels – 11 (one offline) Readers - 104

1. Is the VA able to confirm the part number of the existing readers so we can verify conformance to the new PIV standard?

INN-CHTA-RF

1. Section 3.0 in the PWS notes that the new server will require High Assurance verification. Is receiving an ATO under FIPS-199 within the scope of work?

No, an ATO under FIPS-199 does not cover the High Assurance that is required for two part verification.

1. Will any new door reader or panel installations be required?

No

Note to Instructions to Offerors: Please note this is a combined synopsis and no SF 1449 is available as noted on Pg. 6. Please submit your price on the combined synopsis solicitation document.
