CONTINUATION PAGE

Q1. Does the VA have a basis of design manufacturer for this effort? To maintain consistency with the VA Police we recommend Avigilon as a single source manufacturer for the NVR’s, software, cameras, and access control, which also provides a single user interface to manage and monitor both systems.

A1. Yes, the basis of design manufacturer is Avigilon.

Q2. Is it the intent of the VA for the VBA/VARO facility security systems to have the ability to be monitored by the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Police?

A2. Yes Q3. Based on our review of the statement of work it appears that this project may reutilize existing security system components such that they meet the HSPD-12 and FIPS201 compliances. Is it correct to believe the design phase will determine what components, if any, may be reutilized or, is it the intent of this RFP to replace all existing components.

A3. The intent of this RFQ is to require replacement of all existing components, minus functional door strikes.
