Special Hosting Service Questions and Answers II

· The government has named Moodle as a required tool. Is the government aware that there is currently no instance of Moodle that is FedRAMP certified (if the government is aware of a certified instance, can it please share the vendor information)? The Government is not aware of approved instance of Moodle.

· Will the government accept a FedRAMP compliant instance of Moodle instead of a certified instance? Proposed applications will need to meet the requirements of PD Section 1.6.

· Will the government support the FedRAMP authorization process for the proposed solution? It’s not clear what “support” means in this context; however, per PD Section 1.6.3 VA will sponsor the FedRAMP process if an existing JAB ATO or Agency ATO do not exist for use as a starting point.

· Will the government grant a 1-2 week extension to allow for solution development based on the responses to these questions? The due date is extended until 4 PM EST on August 23rd.

· Will users at VA consume training content that uses high-data consumption/bandwidth streaming video or requires virtual machines? Yes – it is possible.
