Provide full description of materials or services: Provision of risk appropriate inpatient physician services, inpatient hospital services of Level Ill, Level II EQ, and Level II hospitals, consultation and case management and, 24/ 7 transport for critically ill newborns eligible for the HRPP/NICP.

Each service is necessary to adequately provide care for critically ill neonates and ensure the most appropriate level of care surrounding a high-risk birth, as well as early identification and support for the infant's developmental needs. This success of this Program is evidenced by a substantial reduction in Arizona's infant mortality rates This Program provides a safety net for Arizona families, to ensure the most appropriate level of care surrounding a high-risk birth, as well as early identification and support for the infant's developmental needs. ADHS currently contracts with five (5) physicians five (5) neonatal, twenty-seven (27) hospitals, nine (9) transport companies, and twelve (12) consultation and case management. A list of current Contracts is available in the State procurement system.

The Contractors are paid only after all other sources of reimbursement are exhausted; the HRPP/NICP serves as payor of last resort and sets fees based on Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) fees.
