About this file

This is a draft Purchase Description for Signal Generators (26E-112A-RF/26E-112B-RF/26E-112C-RF) for the Air Force Metrology Calibration Program (AFMETCAL). The document details requirements for three distinct signal generator configurations with different frequency ranges: 50 GHz (26E-112A-RF), 26.5 GHz (26E-112B-RF), and 18 GHz (26E-112C-RF). These signal generators will be used in Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMELs) and the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL) as part of a Microwave Measurement System (MMS) to calibrate equipment like attenuators, power splitters, directional couplers, test sets, and spectrum analyzers.

Key technical specifications include frequency ranges from 100 kHz to the respective maximum GHz, frequency resolution of ≤1 Hz, output power levels of ≥7 dBm, and specific connector types for each configuration. The procurement seeks to replace signal generators purchased in 2006, with additional requirements for a 10-year commercial warranty, rack mountability, specific physical dimensions (≤18.75 x 24 x 30 inches), weight limitations (≤70 pounds), and compatibility with Microsoft Windows 10. Each signal generator must include an accessory kit with various precision adapters and meet stringent performance, safety, and operational standards for laboratory use.
