About this file

This is a Procurement Exemption Notice issued by Pierce County, Washington for the direct purchase of TALINO Workstations from SUMURI based on sole source and special facility exemptions. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) has determined that TALINO Workstations are required for forensic investigations and digital device processing to maintain data integrity and public safety operations. SUMURI is identified as the sole entity capable of meeting the County's specifications, setup requirements, proven reliability standards, and ongoing support needs. The procurement allows for direct negotiated purchase without competitive bidding. Any entity believing it can meet the County's requirements must submit a capability statement via the OpenGov platform, though no specific submission deadline is stated in the notice.

The total expected purchase order cost is $30,000.00. The justification for the sole source exemption is based on SUMURI's exclusive supply of TALINO Workstations and the critical need for continuity of operations within the Sheriff's Office forensic investigation program. Questions regarding the procurement should be directed to Andrew Robson at Pierce County Finance and Enterprise Services Department via the OpenGov platform or at (253) 798-7456 and andrew.robson@piercecountywa.gov.
