About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the City of Eugene's Central Services Finance Division/Purchasing for an IT Service Management Platform, with solicitation number RFI 20252004. The RFI seeks comprehensive proposals for a new Service Management Platform to replace the city's current inadequate ITSM solution, with responses due on April 9, 2025, at 2:30 PM PST. The platform must serve as a centralized Service Desk and Asset Management solution, provide robust reporting capabilities, enable seamless CMDB integration, support automated asset management workflows, include a self-service portal with customizable branding, and align with ITIL standards for incident, change, and problem management.
The platform must be fully compatible with the city's Microsoft-centric environment, which includes over 1,800 endpoints and 350 servers, and must integrate with tools like Microsoft Defender, SCCM, and Azure-based systems. The city requires compliance with HIPAA, CJIS, and PCI standards and seeks a solution that can automate asset discovery, lifecycle management, and reporting. The RFI includes 106 detailed questions covering technical capabilities, security features, integration possibilities, support structures, and pricing models. While no specific budget is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the requirements suggests this is an enterprise-level software procurement aimed at significantly enhancing the city's IT service management capabilities, with potential for direct contract award following vendor submissions.
