About this file
This document is a comprehensive project manual for the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Server Room Cooling System project located at 4 S. Main Street in Dayton, Ohio. The project involves installing a new server room cooling system, with design and engineering services provided by Barge Design Solutions. The project manual, dated May 16, 2025, includes detailed specifications across multiple divisions covering electrical, HVAC, demolition, and supporting technical requirements. The project will involve replacing and upgrading the existing server room cooling infrastructure, with specifications detailing everything from ductwork and refrigerant piping to electrical systems and variable frequency motor controllers.
The project manual indicates this is a single prime contract with a focus on technical precision and comprehensive system integration. The specifications suggest the project will require specialized equipment including large capacity computer room air conditioning units, self-contained steam humidifiers, and advanced variable frequency motor controllers. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the specifications implies a substantial investment in modernizing the server room's environmental and technological infrastructure. The technical requirements emphasize energy efficiency, system reliability, and compliance with current electrical and HVAC standards, with extensive documentation requirements for submittals, testing, and commissioning of the new cooling system.
