About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for the overhaul of controllable pitch propeller hubs for Coast Guard cutters. The contractor must inspect, test, preserve, package, and mark two hub assemblies in accordance with specifications. Key requirements include disassembling and inspecting hubs upon receipt; submitting a report outlining replacement parts and repairs for approval; cleaning, testing, and dynamically balancing hubs if necessary; conducting cavity pressure tests; and preserving, packing, and marking hubs according to military standards prior to delivery. The contractor must notify the contracting officer prior to key steps and inspections. The government will accept items after verifying correct and complete orders at destination.
This appears to be the statement of work for a federal solicitation seeking overhaul services for propeller hub assemblies to be used on Coast Guard cutters. The contractor will be responsible for inspection, testing, repair, preservation, packaging and marking of government-furnished hub assemblies according to detailed military standards and procedures outlined.

For the testing, preservation, and storage purposes only, the hub types listed in section 1.2.1 of this SOW either 2110 TH, 2135 TH oils can be used interchangeably. SAE 10W, SAE 10W-30, and any ISO VG 46 may be used also, if it can be certified that the particular oil to be used meets the following characteristics:
