Text version

Note: Additional information – Solicitation No. 2009-Q-11225 A ZIP file containing the source code for the current 2.02.28 version of the Hearing Loss Simulator can be downloaded from this link:

http://www.holmessafety.org/hlsim.zip

1) All capabilities of the current (2.02.28) version are to be implemented in the new version. One exception was stated in the Statement of Work: the "invert loss" function in the slightly older 2.02.26 version is not to be implemented. This function was already removed by our programmers in the 2.02.28 version in the distributed ZIP file, so that version can be treated as the reference.

2) The kickoff meeting will be held after the award is granted at a time and date mutually agreed upon by the project officer and contractor. It should be soon (no later than 30 days) after the award is granted.

3) Attendance at the kickoff meeting in person is preferred to facilitate discussion of the visual aspects. If a teleconference is necessary, the project officer has LiveMeeting and other web sharing applications available.

4) The development work can take place at the developer's offices. Delivery for testing in Pittsburgh can be done over the Internet.

5) Attendance at the kickoff meeting in person is preferred to facilitate discussion of the visual aspects. It would be held at the NIOSH Pittsburgh Research Laboratory located south of Pittsburgh, PA. Specific location, directions, and maps are available here: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/mining/aboutus/visitors.htm#PRLVisitorInfo

6) If a teleconference is necessary, the project officer has LiveMeeting and other web sharing applications available.

7) The cap is $100,000 for budgetary reasons.

Edit SOW:

5. It must be embedded in a self-installing executable file that can be downloaded from the web or distributed on a CD. The installation routine must follow Microsoft guidelines for file and folder locations.
