About this file

This is a Single Source Advertisement from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for proprietary software and licensing agreements from Layered Solutions, Inc. The procurement seeks integrated services for digital network ISDN access devices and computer software licensing services to support the FSDB mass notification system during the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The advertisement began on May 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM and runs through June 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM, constituting the statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement period for single source procurement. No competitive bidding process is involved; however, vendors believing they can fulfill the requirements may submit information regarding their capability to supply the described commodities or services during the advertising period. All questions should be directed to Christine Skaggs, Purchasing Analyst, at skaggsc@fsdbk12.org, or Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org.

The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this procurement is $80,000.00. Layered Solutions, Inc., located at 1528 East Greyhound Pass, Carmel, Indiana 46032, is the intended single source provider. The justification for single source acquisition is based on Layered Solutions' status as the sole manufacturer and software support provider of the LSI software and mass notification solutions that have been fully integrated into FSDB's existing system. Layered Solutions is the exclusive provider capable of expanding and providing ongoing support, configuration, and training for the proprietary software and the preconfigured Media Controller (LSIH65205) device used for digital signage. No alternative source currently exists to support the LSI mass notification system in use at FSDB.
