About this file

This document outlines specifications for airborne proficiency training equipment required by the Texas Military Department. The specifications call for four mobile mock-up aircraft, measuring a minimum of 8'W x 12'L when assembled, to be used for airborne training and include a container for transport. A 12'W x 42'L wooden deck must be designed and constructed at the Saginaw Aerial Delivery Support Facility for an existing permanent mock-up. Two lateral drift apparatuses are also to be installed at this site. All mock-ups must be fabricated from aluminum to match actual aircraft dimensions and include configurable components like jump doors, platforms, and caution lights. Warranties are required to cover design or fabrication flaws. Delivery and setup of all equipment is the vendor's responsibility.

The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation from the Department of the Army Texas Army National Guard for airborne mock doors to support the Texas National Guard Bureau. Specifications call for products and services to maintain airborne training proficiency.
