ENGINE MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
AFTERTREATMENT MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
Valvetrain and Drive Belts maintenance intervals are set at 500,000 miles.
** Cummins OilGuard™ helps customers lower operating costs by precisely tailoring oil drain intervals for their engines. The program involves a three-phase process: a pre-test assessment to understand the fleet’s duty cycle, an on-test period where oil samples are analyzed and engine data captured to determine optimal intervals, and a post-test phase with annual reviews by Cummins engineers.
These engineers continuously monitor oil data for wear and contamination, ensuring extended drain intervals are safe and maintain engine performance and warranty coverage.
DEF filter maintenance interval is set at 300,000 miles.
If combined, percent idle time plus power takeoff (PTO) time is greater than 40% for Short-haul, Normal or Light intervals; use the next lower drain interval.
*For Premium Blue users, the Fuel Filter interval matches the ODI.
***Cummins recommends using Cummins genuine DPFs over cleaning of the DPF at the DPF ash maintenance interval. Users can experience extended DPF ash maintenance using the DPF maintenance fault lamp (FC5383).
