Question 1:
What type of fuel is required? Diesel or Petrol? (Manufacturers have stated that the vehicles with Diesel requirement will certainly be difficult to find due to inventory shortages and trying to meet the 18-week delivery requirement which is already a short period due to the modifications required).
Answer:
“Diesel Fuel” is required for Post’s off-road vehicles.
Question 2:
Any requirements on rear tinted windows (not the front)? This is a standard production to tint rear windows. Is it ok to have tinted windows or does the end user want all windows tinted? Does the end user want all clear windows?
Answer:
There is no restriction of window tine so long as the window tint does not impact the drivability, capability, and overall color contrast of the vehicle offered.
Questions 3:
Due to the harsh terrain and geographical location, would the end user be interested in run flats to reduce the possibility of finding themselves roadside changing a tire? Just a security standpoint for the Embassy personnel.
Answer:
Run flats are not a requirement under this solicitation.
Question 4:
Are there preferences or maybe any of the colors like black, white, grey etc. as usually the Embassy requires white?
Answer:
The solicitation does not specify a color preference; however, which ever color is offered must apply to all vehicles.
Question 5 Please can you possibly advise if we have been assigned a role (on beta.SAM.gov) and if we should submit our tender offer to: EMAIL: KUEHLAW@STATE.GOV?
Answer:
You may submit your offer using the email addresses in the “Contact Information” Section of publication.
