About this file

This document contains responses to vendor questions regarding a solicitation for stop log repairs at the Amistad Dam. The International Boundary and Water Commission U.S.-Mexico is seeking a contractor to perform a condition assessment, painting, and repairs on stoplogs and a lifting beam. The contractor will be required to remove and reinstall the stoplogs using a truck-mounted 35-ton crane supplied by the contractor. All seal assemblies will be replaced regardless of condition. The contractor will have access to all stoplogs at one time to complete the work, but repairs, blasting and painting must be done offsite rather than on the roadway or bridge structure. The responses clarify that welding repairs to roller brackets may be required depending on the condition assessment outcome. The solicitation number is 191BWC20R0007 and closing date references are to the latest code editions in effect at that time. Inspection photos and reports on the stoplogs and lifting beam are attached.
