STATEMENT OF WORK
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Testing Equipment and Services Area-wide contract
Introduction: The Albuquerque Area Laboratory Programs would like to contract for Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) testing equipment, supplies, and services.
Background: The Albuquerque Area Healthcare facilities are typically located in rural, remote areas where clinical services can be hard to come by if not performed locally (in-house). Laboratory testing is one service that would be more beneficially if testing is brought in-house, as other means of testing routes would entail sending specimen to reference laboratories which can cause immediate delay of at least 24-48 hours – or longer if results require further confirmatory testing. ESR equipment, supplies, and services are necessary for proper diagnosis and treatment in our rural healthcare facilities requiring such tests. Full automation of our analyzers is required to help compensate for the limited qualified testing personnel available across our area.
Objectives: To contract for fully automated ESR analyzer for equipment, supplies, and services; to minimize the laboratory testing time while maximizing our testing capacity; to be in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and requirements for Clinical Laboratory testing and those of Public Law 100-578, Section 353(c)(2).
Scope: Contractor will install analyzers and perform necessary validation testing required to conduct clinical laboratory testing in healthcare facilities in accordance to Federal law and requirements.
Contractor will provide all necessary supplies to begin testing and provide written documentation of instrument acceptability and validation testing. Contractor will provide initial training and if needed additional user training. Contractor will provide reagents and supplies on a monthly basis and will ship items within a week of ordering reagents. Contractor must ensure testing platform and reagents are FDA approved. Contractor will install any new updates requiring updating.

This includes but not limited to validation studies, correlation studies, preventative maintenance services, etc.
