ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED

1) Are the stumps required to be removed for the trees that are being removed under the requirement for the total removal of three trees?

Complete Removal - This would consist of a full take down of the said tree, the stump of the tree will be ground approximately 12 inches below the surface. Surface roots within 3ft of the stump will also be ground. All grinds will be backfilled into the hole where the tree used to be. There may be a mound of chips depending on the size of the stump, however the stump mulch will be dug out to ground level so that one could install topsoil and seed afterwards.

2) Will the work along road require a permit for traffic control?

Per the Lompoc City Public Works Department: Traffic cones are sufficient as long as trucks will be parked along the shoulder, traffic is not completely impeded and traffic controls (Stop/Slow signs) are not being utilized.
