About this file

This document is a comprehensive state contract pricing and specification document for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), detailing an indefinite delivery vehicle for various trailer types. The contract involves multiple trailer manufacturers and vendors, with Leonard Truck & Trailer Inc. being a notable participant, and covers new and used trailers across twelve distinct trailer categories including tanker, end dump, belt-driven, enclosed, lowering, utility, tag, hydraulic gooseneck, drop deck, traveling axle, dry van, and utility pole trailers.

The contract establishes detailed specifications for each trailer type, including minimum requirements for gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), axle configurations, safety features, lighting, braking systems, and warranty provisions. Vendors can submit pricing for multiple makes and models meeting the specifications, with options for both new and used equipment. The contract allows for monthly updates to used equipment inventories, provides for ODOT inspection of used trailers prior to purchase, and requires standard manufacturer warranties. Pricing is submitted on a per-unit basis, with F.O.B. destination pricing, and the contract enables ODOT to purchase trailers across a wide range of configurations and capacities to support state transportation and equipment transportation needs.
