About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) document issued by the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) for the procurement of hot pressure washers. The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive quotes for hot pressure washing equipment, with units required to be identical in all respects except for electrical configuration as specified in the bid items. Installation is not included in the scope. The solicitation was opened on August 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM Central Daylight Time, with proposals due by September 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM CDT. Award will be made by individual line items, which are not tied together. The Iowa DOT intends to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submission is most advantageous considering cost and other factors, including meeting mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, required time schedules, past work performance, and work capacity. Bidders should note the differing ship-to addresses listed in the item lines and refer to related bid opportunity 645-DOTRFQ-2923-2027 for additional context.

Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination, with payment terms of Net 60 days. The Iowa DOT is tax exempt and will provide tax exemption certificates upon request. Approved brands are specified in the items section, though bidders may submit alternate brand specifications through the Pre-Bid Substitution Request for Approval of Material or Product Form if the alternate provides the same or higher level of performance; such requests must be received before the designated deadline. All bidder questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent, Mallory Hunter (mallory.hunter@iowadot.us, +1 515-239-1347), and submitted through the Q&A Board prior to the Q&A Submissions Close Date. Following evaluation, a Notification of Intent to Award and bid tabulation will be posted publicly on the IMPACS Business Opportunities site. The procurement is subject to procedures and requirements established in Iowa Administrative Code 761-20.
