140R4024Q0035 Question and Answers

Question #1 Line item # 1 is a plug in breaker bucket for an MCC mfg by AllenBradley There are two choices possible A) New from factory ( we need the MCC’s serial # or shop order #) B) Re-Mfg or Surplus bucket with a warranty

Answer:

See picture below of the MCC Nameplate and the front view of the quagga light cubical on the MCC. Our preference is new from factory but I’m being told we will accept Re-Mfg or Surplus with warranty here at Glen Canyon. The MCCs are the same design so the one nameplate can be used for all 8 units.

Question # 2 Line items # 2, 3, 4,5, 6 Mini Breakers Shown as Mfg by ABB on RFQ, Can we use an equal from another mfg?

Answer:

This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement as long as the product is equal to what we have requested it will be found technically acceptable.

Question # 3 Line item # 9 enclosure The description states it is a NEMA 4X NEMA 4 is a steel enclosure NEMA 4X is a corrosion resistant enclosure like Stainless Steel or a polycarbonate ( plastic) I understand the Vevor mfg enclosure shown is a NEMA 4 steel enclosure and not a NEMA 4X. I see that Vevor is using a epoxy powder coat paint and calling it NEMA4X Your RFQ states NEMA 4 is acceptable…. Can we quote industry standard NEMA 4 or does the client want a ( plastic) NEMA 4X or a stainless steel NEMA4X

Answer:

The Vevor mfg encloser listed is what was installed on the prototype systems which was approved and commissioned by Atlantium. Given the location of the installed enclosure there doesn’t appear to be a need for a corrosion resistant NEMA 4X enclosure. In the interest of being consistent, a NEMA 4 encloser similar to the already installed Vevor enclosers are preferred.

Question #4 The Manufacturer has said that “We need the serial number for the MCC these buckets are going into.”

Can you please give us the serial number for the MCC.

Answer:

I attached a picture of the MCC Nameplate and the front view of the quagga light cubical on the MCC.
