Answer Question 1. Fueling is not allowed on the beach. Contractors are to fuel off the beach, access to the beach is at Stairwell 28 so the most convenient fueling location is in this area.
Question 2. Where is the staging area for equipment?
Answer Question 2. Staging of equipment will be near Stairwell 28. It was explained that contractors should be aware that equipment has been tagged with graffiti while being staged at
Ocean Beach. It is the contractor's responsibility to secure their equipment.
Question 3. Can the Snowy Plover sign be moved?
Answer Question 3. Contractors are not to move the Snowy Plover Sign, if sign is in the treatment area, sand management will need to work around the sign and ensure no damage to the sign.
Question 4. The Lincoln Access Corridor has sand accumulation, will this area be added to the contract?
Answer Question 4. The Lincoln Access corridor will not be part of this solicitation.
Question 5. I see the solicitation mentions a
California contracting license is required. We have successfully completed several federal contracts in California without having this license. Is this a requirement specific to NPS projects? Would you be able to shed some light on this for me?
Answer Question 5. I do not know if this is a requirement specific to NPS projects. However, it is an evaluation factor for this requirement.
Quoters (and any proposed subcontractors) who possess a current and valid California State
License applicable to the work they will be performing on this project will be more favorably evaluated.
