QUESTION
RESPONSE
1. CSSB Member. Is this essential to bid? We noticed there are very few companies in this association and we weren't sure if this was mandatory.
For this requirement, it is not mandatory to be a CSSB Member.
2. Hot dipped zink coated nails. We understand that by using this nail it voids the warranty on the shingle. Our recommendation is to use stainless steel nails.
Stainless steel is acceptable.
3. We understand the use of a 24" shingle (more material and coverage). There is an 18" shingle that could be used and still give you a 5 1/2" exposure. This would cost you less money, if this is of interest for you.
Maintain 24” shingles as specified.
4. Are the remaining 6 buildings about the same size?
Please refer to the drawings.
