Construct Mainland Parking Lot

Cumberland Island National Seashore

Questions and Answers

1. There is a kiosk called out in specs but only one drawing (E1.0) shows it. There are no details provided in order to accurately price and build.

This has been removed from the SOW/Project.

2. Can a detail be provided for the concrete bullnose? (Thickness, rebar, wire mesh, size?)

There is no rebar or mesh in the concrete bullnose. Bullnose to be same dimensions as apron.

Refer to section C3.0 Section #7 (Concrete Driveway Section)

3. Where is the backflow preventer being relocated?

Backflow Preventer is to be moved North closer to the covered porch of headquarters buildings.

Exact distance will need to be decided upon in the field during construction. There is not a specified distance. It was being moved to avoid running in with fence line (which has been removed from SOW) and sidewalk.

4. Can a plumbing plan be provided for the backflow preventer and yard hydrant?

Contractor will need to obtain these plans and drawings from the City of Saint Mary's, Ga.

5. Is there rebar or wire mesh in the 4" paving (sidewalk)?

There is nor rebar or wire mesh, contractor is to take this into account when pouring concrete to account for nor rebar (Thickness, PSI, Strength, Etc..). Will elaborate more if needed.

6. Is there rebar or wire mesh in the 6" concrete paving (driveway apron)?

There is nor rebar or wire mesh, contractor is to take this into account when pouring concrete to account for nor rebar (Thickness, PSI, Strength, Etc..). Will elaborate more if needed.

7. There is a Aluminum Ornamental Fence section called out in the specs but there is no fence found in the plans. Please clarify.

This has been removed from the SOW/Project.

8. There is a Portand Cement Plaster (Stucco) section called out in the specs but there is no stucco found in the plans. Please clarify.

This has been removed from the SOW/Project.

9. What type of curb is to be poured at the two new driveway aprons? Please provide detail for new curb.
