About this file

This document contains a set of questions and answers related to a solicitation for deer dumpster services at Valley Forge National Historical Park in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The solicitation requests a firm fixed price quote for a base period plus four option years. Key details include:

The solicitation allows for a 10 cubic yard dumpster as an acceptable substitute for the 12 cubic yard dumpster specified. It also states that a 15 cubic yard dumpster is acceptable. However, a 30 cubic yard dumpster would be too large for the required 1-3 tons of waste. The plywood lid provided with the dumpster is reused and not disposed of by the contractor. There was a previous incumbent, Dibussello Container, on contract 140P4220P0001.

Text version

1. Is it possible that a 10 cubic yard dumpster will be an acceptable substitute for the 12 Yrd dumpster? Answer: 12 yards is fine, I think 10 yard is fine as well

2. I understand the SOW states a 12 cubic yard dumpster is needed, would a 15-yard dumpster work? Answer: 15 yards is fine

3. I have a question regarding the National Park Service solicitation. I notice that a 12-yard container is being requested with approximately 1 to 3 tons of waste. However, a 30-yard container is needed to hold 3 tons of waste. Can you accommodate a 30-yard container or are we limited on space? If so, would your plywood lid suffice for a 30-yard container? Answer: 30 yard would be too big

4. Is there a previous incumbent? If so, would you mind providing the company and contract number? Answer: Dibussello container 140P4220P0001

5. Does the plywood get disposed of as well during the swap? Answer: The plywood is not disposed of by the contractor, we re-use the plywood lids throughout the operation.
