About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal contract opportunity with the National Park Service to conduct wetland plant inventories within Cedar Breaks National Monument in Utah. The opportunity involves surveying wet meadows and Arizona willow polygons within priority zones 1 and 2 as well as a wetland protection area, totaling approximately 61 acres for priority zone 1, 22.5 acres for priority zone 2, and an unspecified acreage for the wetland protection area. Travel time to access zones 1 and 2 is expected to be minimal as the areas are located near the park road, though one polygon below the breaks may be skipped if difficult to access. An attachment provides the full list of plant species classified as obligate wetland or facultative wetland under the opportunity.

Text version

· Within Cedar Breaks, could the NPS provide an estimate of the time surveys would take and/or the acreage of wet meadow and Arizona willow habitat within the wetland protection area and Priority One and Two zones?

We cannot provide an estimate of time, as that will depend on the offeror’s methodologies. The travel time for Zones 1 and 2 should be fairly minimal. They wetland areas are almost entirely up on top and close to the park road. There's only one polygon beneath the breaks, and that one could be skipped if it's too hard to access. The wetland acreage for the zones is listed on the figure in the Statement of Work. Priority 1 - 61 acres/25 ha, Priority 2 - 22.5 acres/9 ha. I don't have the acreages separated out for just the wetland protection area.

· Within Cedar Breaks, could the NPS clarify that the areas to be surveyed are the wet meadows and Arizona willow polygons within the entirety of the Priority One and Two zones and the wetland protection area?

Yes.

· Could the NPS provide the full OBL and FAC plant list included in Attachment A? Access to IRMA is not granted through the link.

An access issue with IRMA has been corrected. File is also attached.
