Intelligent Control System with Touch Screen Display. Hot water heater will have a submerged combustion chamber with helical heat exchanger coil that is positioned in the center of the tank, and direct spark ignition. The hot water heater will have permaglass ultra coat glass lining. The exhaust will vent vertically. By using this model, it will keep parts inventory to a minimal stock. Each of the building’s boilers will have to be partially disassembled and reassembled to be able to access/change out the hot water heaters. The old water heaters being removed will be disposed of by the contractor. Expansion tanks will need to be replaced (Quantity 5) with a model that meets the requirements of the hot water heater and the building.
AO Smith will be given preference due to servicing. Any model quoted must be an equivalent, commercial grade model.
Replace Building E laundry equipment with new On-Premises Commercial Hotel/Dormitory style Speed
Queen units, brand name or equal. Machines will be Push to Start non coin operated machines. Machines will be made in the USA. Machines will have metal components, not plastic. Speed Queen Top Load

Cycles will include Heavy Duty, Normal Eco, Perm Press, Delicate, Rinse and Spin, Spin Only. Machines will operate on 120/60/1 15-amp circuits. Machines will have a 30-minute wash and dry time cycle.
Dryers will have E-Mech Control panels, cycle buttons, cycle adjustability for temperature and load size.
Machines will have an 18-pound capacity minimum, electric heat source, utilizing 240/60/1 30-amp circuit. The exhaust outlet will be 4” with 240 cfm exhaust airflow. Cylinder finish will be galvanized steel. Drying Cycles will include Regular, Perm Press, Delicate, Time Dry, Quick Dry, and Fluff Up.
Dryer doors will have a sight window. Machines will operate on 240/60/1 30-amp circuits.
Speed Queen will be given preference due to servicing. Any model quoted must be an equivalent, commercial grade model.
All machines will be white in color.
Electrical and plumbing will need to be updated to accommodate four single washers and four electric dryers (two stacks of two). Electrical outlets for the dryers will need to be changed to 240/60/1 60-amp outlets and have two new outlets installed. Two additional 120/60/1 15-amp electrical outlets, two additional water hookups for the washing machines will need to be installed. Electrical panels and water lines are in the adjacent boiler room. Remove and replace drywall as needed. Paint to match existing wall color. Color code is Alabaster White. All unused and/or terminated associated plumbing and electrical fixtures will be removed and properly disposed of by the contractor. NPS will remove all current washing machines and dryers for storage.
The hot water heaters and washer/dryer units are being installed in historical structures on the ground floors in the center of the buildings. These are two story buildings. This installation shall meet all applicable building codes. This project has been designed to operate on existing propane and electrical services.
