About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for bus overhaul services for the Grand Canyon Region. The National Park Service Intermountain Region is seeking to overhaul 10 buses from 2008 for use in Grand Canyon National Park. The amendment provides the names and contact information for two contractors that attended a pre-bid site visit on July 19, 2021, as well as answers to three questions asked during the site visit. One question clarified that while engine serial numbers will differ, the bus specifications will be the same. Another confirmed that remanufactured engines from a Mexico plant would meet the sourcing requirements. Exemptions to terms and conditions will not be allowed. The period of performance for the contract is from September 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

Questions and Answers:
Q1: During the site visit we looked at 2 buses, can we be assured the ESN (Engine Serial Numbers) and VIN numbers are the Same Spec/Match for ALL 10 units?
A1: The VINs for each bus are already in the solicitation on pg. 35. The ESNs will be different for each bus, but the specifications are the same for the 2008 buses as they were manufactured at the same time by the same manufacturer.
Q2: Our Remanufactured engines are completed in a plant in Mexico. Is this how that looks?
[Screenshot taken from FAR provision 52.212-3(f)(2)]
A2: Yes.
Q3: Will exemptions on Terms and Conditions be allowed?
A3: No.
