About this file
This document contains an amendment with questions and answers regarding a federal contract opportunity for high angle rescue training at Devils Tower National Park. The amendment provides responses to nine questions about the training. It is expected that 10 participants will attend the week-long training, occurring from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily. No specific skill levels or prerequisites are required for participants, though most will have climbing experience. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate but no certification. Training providers must bring their own climbing equipment but can use park equipment if needed to demonstrate techniques. The park will furnish any gear required for student participation. The amendment supplies details to clarify logistical requirements but does not substantively modify the opportunity scope.
The related federal contract opportunity is for high angle rescue training at Devils Tower National Park over a three year base period plus two option years. The solicitation is issued by the National Park Service Intermountain Region under the Department of the Interior. No further information is provided on pricing, response dates, set asides or incumbent.

Park response: If the provider has training materials that they usually would distribute with their training courses, then they should provide it. Any trainers should bring their own climbing equipment. If there is an uncommon or new piece of equipment that they would like to demonstrate as a part of the course, they should provide it as well.
