The purpose of Amendment 0004 is to provide questions and answers for questions received during the question-and-answer period of this solicitation. Questions will be indicated as

Q11. Can CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) be used instead of traditional digging for this project?
A11. The government team anticipates that at least one of the lines being replaced has collapsed. CIPP could be considered if the existing line is proven to be suitable for CIPP and minimum slopes can be maintained.

Trenchless methods meaning size on size pipe bursting or cured in place pipe (CIPP).

Q13. Is there enough room to bring in equipment to dig up existing line?
A13. Contractors could access where the work is being completed for 104 using Second Street or the alley behind this building. Access to where the work is being completed for Buildings 201 and
203 is anticipated to be directly off Ave B. As indicated in the SOW, some fencing must be removed to access where the work will be completed.
Q14. Would you have to remove any concrete sidewalks, driveways or foundations to make the repair?
A14. None anticipated.
Q15. Do you have any photos of site locations for repair?
A15. Photos were not included in the specification documents.
Q16. Depth of the sewer mains where we are connecting to.
A16. The depth of the sewer mains are anticipated to be approx. 12 feet deep based on depth of manholes.
Q17. What permits are needed for the project, if any?
A17. None anticipated.
Q18. What will the contractor's responsibility in terms of topside restoration? Sod? Just topsoil and grass seed?
A18. Contractors are responsible for restoring the topside to pre-work conditions. Existing sod could be reused, if suitable.
Q19. Is the contractor expected to reseed or sod the excavation area in the yards?
A19. Refer to A18.

Q21. Approximately how deep are the sewer lines?
A21. Please assume that the sewer lines are approximately 3 feet below surface at each structure and approximately 12 feet below surface at each sewer main connection point.
Q22. Do you know what the approximate depth is of the lines that need to be replaced?
A22. Refer to A20.
Q23. Will we need to excavate under the garage slab?
A23. Building 203 it is anticipated that excavating under the garage slab would not be required.
The government team is currently unable provide a response for the following questions received:
Q24. How far past the house foundation does the copper pipe extend?
Q25. On Housing units at 201 & 203 Avenue B, does the copper extend past the garage additions?
Q26. Can you confirm where the clay drain pipe starts?
Q27. Does it start immediately outside of the foundation wall or outside the monolithic slab of the garage?
