Questions Addressed Solicitation: 140L6224Q0008 Casper BLM Riparian Restoration

1. Sourcing rock is acceptable at the upper meadow creek zeedyk structures? I was under the impression we would be moving all material in. So, I did not check to see if there was plenty of rock to source. Do you have a sense of how much rock is nearby? And how close it is? Any additional photos that might illustrate this?

a. The rock source is next to where the structures will be placed on the hillslope. I estimate the amount of rock material should be sufficient for the three structures. May have to move upstream/downstream of the structure locations to obtain sufficient rock but likely no more than .10 miles.

2. What size diameter of posts are you looking to have installed in your post line wicker weave? Sometimes people will use small stakes that can be pounded into wet soil but on my project in buffalo this summer I will be using full 4" posts that will have to be drilled first then installed.

a. Untreated wooden fence posts with nominal size of 3”.

3. How moist do you expect the seeps to be in August?

a. The seeps will likely be moist in August on the surface in places though conditions may change depending on precipitation during the spring/summer.

4. General questions about access points to work sites.

a. Vehicles must stay on two tracks though ATV/UTVS have been cleared to haul equipment into the sites.
