Questions and Answers

1. Can you please provide KML/KMZ, Shape or similar geo-referenced files of the target area for importing into GPS systems for a more accurate depiction?

Answer: Please see attached KMZ

1. Please provide further information in regard to target area parameter width.

Answer: The project width is roughly 300 feet but treatment polygons could be wider or narrower depending on property boundaries and other constricting variables.

1. Looking at the provided maps, it appears most areas have some type of road or trail access to them. We do not require access directly to the target areas but will need to be within operational range of about 1 mile.

0. Do most of the target areas have road/ground vehicle access to them to bring us within that range?

0. Any specific areas that do not?

Answer: All areas of the project area should have some form of access adjacent (w/in 1 mile) of the project area. Most of the project area are roadside fuelbreaks that have a road running through the center of the project area.

1. We would like to know, for logistics reasons, specifics on how the seed will be delivered.

0. Will the seed be in bulk bags or smaller 55lbs bags?

0. Could we request to have smaller 55lbs bags as our preferred method?

0. Could we have an estimated pallet size/count for the total amount?

Answer: Typically the seed comes in 50lb bags on pallets (~36 bags/pallet) from the national seed warehouse.

1. We have the ability, should we be awarded this project, to stage the seed indoors, and our equipment just North of Winnemucca NV.

0. Can the Government deliver the seed to a location 20 min north on I-95 of Winnemucca NV?

0. Being we are not familiar with this area, would a location 20 minutes north of Winnemucca be a good staging area for the entire project?

0. Are we required to pick up the seed, if so, where would this pick-up location be?

Answer: There isn't much 20 minutes north of Winnemucca on I-95. The town of Orovada, Nv is ~1hr north of Winnemucca on I-95. Paradise Valley is another town adjacent to one of the project areas ~1.5 hr from Winnemucca. Both of these areas are small agricultural towns. We don't have an indoor storage area other than at the Winnemucca District Office (5100 East Winnemucca Blvd, Winnemucca, Nv). This is where the seed will be staged for pick-up.

1. Are ATVs allowed to be used in the target areas? Such as a Gator etc.?

Answer: Yes UTV style transportation is permitted on the roads and adjacent project areas image1.emf
