Pass Creek Q&A RFQ 140L3724Q0021

1. Question: Is the contractor responsible for burning the piles created during the contract?

Answer 1: Contractor is not responsible for burning piles, but they are responsible for closely following the piling specs outlined in the statement of work.

2. Question: How is the current access and snow accumulations looking for these two projects?

Answer 2: Conditions are relatively dry. There are patchy drifts up to 1 foot deep, but the majority of the acres are dry and accessible.

3. Question: Will this require covering?

Answer 3: No pile covering required. See piling specifications in the SOW.

Amendment 0003 03/04/2025

4. Question: Can the contractor representative be the contractor itself?

Answer 4: The role of the CO, COR, and PI are described in section C.2.1 of the SOW. They are government positions furnished by BLM.

5. Does the contractor need to have employees with different titles for the key personnel on site?

Answer 5: See answer 4.

6. Will the contractor will need someone to constantly control traffic in the work zone?

Answer 6: It is not required. Signage on roads indicating work ahead is recommended.

Amendment 0004 03/06/2025

7. Question: Look over the general requirements and piling specifications, there is mentioning that piles must be at a minimum 10’ wide by 10’ tall, is this correct?

Answer 7: BLM standard piling specs are a minimum pile size of 10’ wide and 10’ tall. Contractors have in the past piled in a teepee style structure. Please note the piling components and structure requirements. All piling specification are in place to ensure safe burning in suitable conditions.
