Cove Recreation Site Host Cabana Solicitation No 140L2621Q0040

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

1.

QUESTION: In lieu of the Poligon Model REK 20x34; Will it be suitable if we have one of our subs, design & fabricate the Cabana based on the spec requirement details?

ANSWER: YES, It is acceptable to have a like structure designed and fabricated by a local engineering and fabricating facility. Please note all the structural and architectural elements must meet or exceed the criteria for the specified pre-engineered model provided as the basis of design including but not limited to, material shapes and sizes, fasteners and connections and coatings. The qualified engineer must also provide stamped and signed plans for the structure and the foundation as required in the construction specifications and drawings. Contractor must provide additional time for submittal review by the Government since it would not be a pre-engineered structure and the Government will require full submittal to verify all criteria of the structure and foundation have been met.

DESIGN AMENDMENTS

1. The cabana minimum eave height shall be changed from 13 feet to 13 feet – 6 inches minimum clearance.
