Q1:What are the seasonal restrictions for the project?
A1: Seasonal restrictions can be found on page 9 of the PWS.
Q2: What is the best access for the project?
A2: Best access to the project site is via Laird
Red Rock road. There is a small road that follows the ridgeline northwest of the project site;
however, it adds over a mile of additional hiking for the crews.
Q3: Is travel permitted off road via ATV/UTV?
A3: Travel off road is only permitted for emergency purposes.
Q4: Where should the piles be constructed when juniper trees are cut next to pine, fir, or incense cedar trees that are designated for retention?
A4: Piles should be constructed away from the dripline of the trees to reduce impacts to leave trees during prescribed ire operations.
Additionally, cut material can be added to existing piles within the treatment area.
