Salient Characteristics Special Order S20084
RADIO AND ACCESSORIES
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
3 EA, 900MHz 3dBd Omni Antenna:
1. Shall be at least 25 inches tall.
2. Shall have frequency band supported from 902 to 928 MHz.
3. Shall have gain of at least 3 dBd.
4. Shall be omnidirectional, outdoor antenna with mounting hardware.
5. Shall have Type N female connector.
6. Shall mount to pipes with outer diameters as small as 1.25 in. up to at least 2.5 in.
3 EA, Antenna Cable:
7. Shall be a LMR195 cable with Type N male plug on one end and Reverse Polarity SMA male plug on the other.
8. Shall be at least 15 feet long.
1 EA, Black Cold Shrink Tape:
9. Shall be a least a 10-foot roll and 1” wide.
3 EA, GOES Satellite Data Transmitter:
10. Shall support NESDIS GOES V.2 specifications.
11. Radio shall transmit at 300 or 1200 bits per second.
12. Shall be capable of either self-timed or random GOES transmissions.
13. Radio must be NOAA/NESDIS certified for GOES transmissions.
14. Shall have at least one (1) RS-232 port for user interface or external devices.
15. Shall have a Type N GOES antenna connector.
16. Shall have a GPS antenna connector.
17. Shall include facilities for detailed diagnostic checking.
18. Shall have an operating temperature range of at least -40 to 55 degrees C.
19. Shall maintain the clock accuracy for at least 20 days.
20. Shall be powered by an external 12 VDC battery.
21. Shall weigh no more than 2 lbs.
3 EA, 11 dBi GOES Yagi RHCP Antenna:
22. Shall be a directional antenna.
23. Shall be optimized for GOES transmissions at 402 MHz
24. Frequency shall be 401.8 MHz nominal.
25. Shall have a maximum Voltage Standing Wave Ratio less than or equal to 1.5 to 1 between 401MHz and 403 MHz.
26. Gain shall be 10-11 dBi.
27. Polarization shall be right hand circular capable.
28. Impedance shall be 50 ohms.
29. Shall have a Type N female connector.
30. Shall include hardware for mounting the unit to a 2-inch (nominal) O.D. pipe.
31. Shall include hardware provisions for horizontal and vertical elevation adjustments:
a. Azimuth Adjust of 360 degrees, Elevation Adjust of at least 0-90 degrees.
3 EA, RF Surge Protection Kit:
32. Shall be compatible with specs above.
33. Shall include coaxial cable with Type N connectors that is at least 18 inches long.
34. Shall be suitable with frequencies from 100 to 512 MHz.
35. Shall include mounting bracket.
36. Shall include ground wire assembly with at least a 24-inch wire.
3 EA, Coaxial Cable:
37. Shall be compatible with specs above.
38. Shall be a RG8 cable that is at least 15 feet long with Type N male connectors on both ends.
39. Shall support at least 50 ohms.
3 EA, 4-Channel Serial I/O Module:
40. Shall be used with data logger, specs below, to allow for four (4) additional serial ports.
41. Shall be capable of supporting the following data rates: 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200 bits per second.
42. Shall support RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 and Hardware CTS/RTS.
43. Shall support 7 and 8-bit data size; none, odd, or even parity; one or two stops bits data formats.
44. Shall have fill and discard type transmit buffer that holds is at least 767 bytes from data logger to sensor.
45. Shall have fill and discard type receiver buffer that holds is at least 6143 bytes from data logger to sensor.
3 EA, Set of Serial Communication Cables:
46. Shall include one (1) DTE Cable with tinned leads on one end and 9-pin male connector on the other that is at least 2 feet long.
47. Shall include one (1) DCE Cable with tinned leads on one end and 9-pin female connector on the other that is at least 2 feet long.
6 EA, Blade-Fuse Holder:
48. Shall have at least two (2) protected outputs and one (1) unprotected output.
49. Shall have at least one (1) input.
50. Shall have 5.2 mm mounting width and be DIN-rail mountable.
6 EA, End Cap:
51. Shall be a separator for Blade-Fuse Holder, specs above.
12 EA, 3-Conductor Through Terminal Block:
52. Shall be DIN-rail mountable.
53. Shall be gray.
54. Shall have at least an 800 V rating.
55. Shall support wire sizes from 12 to 28 AWG.

26 EA, 1 Hour System Assembly:
26 Vendor shall assemble all wiring and label datalogger and support equipment on back panel, see drawing below for suggestions.
3 EA, Power Supply Kit:
27 Shall include power supply capable of at least 24Vdc.
28 Shall not include battery.
29 Shall include DIN rail bracket, din rail connectors, and breakers.
30 Shall have 10 A input fuse.
31 Shall have AC and input range of 100V to 240V 32 Shall have an output current of 10 Amps DC with adjustable DC voltage from 18V to 29V.
1 EA, Measurement & Control Datalogger:
33 Processor shall operate at 100 MHz or faster.
34 Shall include SDI-12 communication interfaces.
35 Shall include a minimum of 8 differential analog inputs, 2 pulse counter inputs, and 8 digital I/O ports.
36 Analog measurement capabilities shall include ratiometric measurements for bridge-type sensors.
37 Shall include at least two (2) RS-232 ports, and one (1) I/O port, for communication with computer interfaces.
38 Shall include switched 12 volt and switched voltage excitations.
39 Shall include it least 4MB of SRAM memory.
40 Shall operate from 12 VDC.
41 Typical power usage shall be less than 1 mA in sleep mode.
42 Shall be capable of scanning inputs at a rate of 100 Hz.
43 Shall include an analog to digital converter with a minimum of 24 bits.
44 Shall be programmable and capable of performing complex schemes and equations.
45 Shall be capable of executing custom routines from user-written source code.
46 Shall be capable of communicating and measuring sensors simultaneously.
47 Power inputs shall include Reverse Polarity protection.
48 Memory and program shall be battery backed.
49 Shall operate over a temperature range of at least -25 to 50 degrees C.
50 Shall include an Ethernet port.

51 Shall be a spread spectrum radio that operates at 900 Mhz frequency (nominal).
52 Shall be compatible with the data logger described herein.
53 Shall operate from 12 VDC nominal power.
54 Shall have an input/output interface compatible with the data logger described herein.
55 Shall have RS-232 and USB Type B communication ports.
56 Shall have user-selectable power output from as low as 10 mW.
57 Shall have Reverse Polarity SMA jack antenna connector.
58 Shall be able to transmit at least 1 Watt (30 dBm).
59 Shall have 50 to 111 hopping channels.
60 Shall have operating temperature range from at least -40° to +85°C.
61 Shall have nodes no more than 50 in network.
62 Shall be capable of frequency from 902 to 928 MHz.

83 Shall have a communication rate of at least 72 Mbps when using 802.11n.
84 Shall be capable of at least 50 simultaneous connections with at least 10 of the 50 Transmission Control Protocol connections can be used for Transport Layer Security.
85 Shall be capable of using a I/O port or DC barrel connector for power purposes.
86 Shall have at least a 1-year warranty.
87 Shall have Modbus server that supports at least 15 concurrent transactions.
88 Shall have operating temperature range from -40° to +70°C.
89 Shall have PakBus Router that supports at least 50 routes.
90 Shall have XF6-RS9113SB, FCC Identifier.
91 Shall support IPv4, IPv6, ICMP/Ping, ICMPv6/Ping, TCP/IP, DHCP Client, DHCP Server (in access point mode only), SLAAC, DNS Client, HTTPS Proxy, TLS, Telnet Server, PakBus, and Modbus protocols.

92 Shall have provide at least 28 dBi of gain.
93 Shall be omnidirectional.
94 Shall operate from 3.3Vdc through a coaxial connection.
95 Shall have a Type TNC RF connector.
96 Shall be able to mount to a 0.75 in. pipe thread.
97 Shall not include a cable.
3 EA, Antenna Mount:
98 Shall be compatible with the GPS antenna described above.
99 Shall be compatible with ¾ IPS mounting threads.
100 Shall include all hardware to mount on pipes outside diameters from 1.0 to 1.5 inches.
3 EA, GPS Antenna Surge Protection Kit:
101 Shall be compatible with specs above.
102 Shall include coaxial cable with Type N connector to Reverse Polarity SMA jack antenna connector that is at least 18 inches long.
103 Shall be suitable with frequencies of 800 to 2500 MHz.
104 Shall include a ground wire that is at least 24 inches long.

115 Shall have an on/off manual override and auto for data logger control toggle.
116 Shall be capable of going from actuation to release time in no more than 4 ms.
117 Shall have coil resistance of at least 360 Ω ±10%.
118 Shall have contact rating for AC devices of at least 5 A at 277 Vac.
119 Shall have contact rating for DC devices of at least 5 A at 30 Vdc.
2 EA, I/O to 9-Pin RS-232 DCE Synchronous Interface:
120 Shall support baud band rates of at least 115.2 kbps.
121 Shall support RS-232 communication protocol at 7 and 8-bt and none, odd, or even parity.
122 Shall be powered by data logger, specs above.
123 Shall have no more than 8 mA of current drain during communications.
124 Shall have an operating temperature range of at least -25° to +50ºC.
125 Shall allow a data logger and RS-232 DCE device to communicate at different baud rates.
6 EA, Peripheral Mounting Kit:
126 Shall be used to mount I/O to 9-Pin RS-232 DCE synchronous interface, specs above, to an enclosure.
127 Shall include one (1) aluminum bracket, one (1) 1-inch by 8-inch velcro strap and hardware.
3 EA, CPI/RS-232 Data Cable:
128 Shall be at least 12 inches long with RJ45 (8P8C) plug on one end and DB9 female connector on the other.
129 Shall be compatible with CPI port.
3 EA, Backplate:
130 Backplate must fit in existing cabinet on site, see drawing and picture below for suggestions.
131 Shall be an anodized aluminum plate at least 24 inches by 36 inches.
132 Shall have pre-punched matrix of half-inch-on-center square holes.
133 Shall be white powder coated.
12 EA, Din Rail Stopper:
134 Shall serve an end stop for 35 mm DIN rail mounts 135 Shall be gray.

3 EA, I/O ribbon cable:
144 Shall be at least 17” long with one male DB9 and four female DB9 connectors.
