Attachment N
Pest Control Service at EROS
Items to be Accomplished:
1. Control pests listed and other pests in the geographic area not listed, such as but not limited to, rats, mice (rodents), ants, crickets, beetles, flies, mosquitoes, ticks, and wasps.
2. The Contractor shall provide a quality control program to ensure effective control of pests. The quality control program shall detail what steps the Contractor will take to ensure effective pest control, and list conditions for call back services prior to next scheduled visit.
3. Contractor shall submit SDS sheets on all chemicals to be used for this contract.
4. Contractors proposal shall include items listed below, when establishing minimum requirements for service:
A. Minimal specifics to include the following:
(1) Contractor shall provide at a minimum - one visit each month for cleaning and baiting traps and as necessary to spray perimeters or problem areas as identified by the
(COR).
(2) Contractor shall provide at a minimum - two (2) spray applications each year around the building foundation to control insect infestation in the building, such as but not limited to, beetles, spiders, ants, crickets, etc., to control entry into the building doorways and foundation.
B. The following buildings shall require service:
NOTE: The Government will provide the successful bidder with copies of the building floor plans and site layout. Contractor will be required to log, number and record locations of bait stations used on the premises, and provide copies of the floor plans back to the COR within 7 days of award.
(1) Data Handling Building and Addition: 316,500 square feet
Include perimeter, basement areas, crawl space areas, 3 each raised computer room floor areas, and ceiling area above Room 603 SKIF room. Included in the basement area are digital and film archives (total area of the archives will require treatment and inspection to ensure no damage by inspects or infestations occur. Total square footage of main building is estimated at 272,500 square feet, and an additional 44,000 of unfinished sand areas.
The sand areas in the main building basement and in the building addition that will require rodent traps, these areas are included in the square footages listed above.
Wasp control required near doorways, and some offices around perimeter shall be required. Ground nests of wasps shall be included in monthly service.
Rodent control in the cafeteria area will require exterior spray application and no chemicals to be used in the food areas. Rodent trap if required would only be temporary if deemed necessary and in accordance with local and state food regulations.
(2) MGS/Warehouse (Service) Building: 19,500 square feet
Includes all areas, garage, shops, and the warehouse and receiving area for similar pest control program as the main building.
(3) Heavy Equipment Building (HEB): 7,200 square feet
Rodent control around the perimeter.
(4) Landsat 7/Radome structure and electrical pad near the antenna: 2,050 square feet
Rodent control of perimeter and the base of the antenna within the dome, and electrical conduits in the electrical pad.
(5) RO Building: 1,040 square feet
Rodent control around the perimeter.
(6) Aeration Building: 328 square feet
Rodent control around the perimeter, and spray 4 times in 12 month period for spiders in the Aeration building.
(7) Modis Antenna/Radome structure and electrical pad near the antenna: 315 square feet
Rodent control of perimeter and the base of the antenna within the dome, and electrical conduits in the electrical pad.
(8) Film Archive located in the basement of the 73 buidling., (28000 sq ft, note that this sq ft is included in the sq ft of the DHB building listed above). This is a controlled area. The COR will accompany the pest control workers into this area. A written report on types of pests found to be in the area and numbers shall be included in the report. The report will be provided monthly. A floor diagram will be provided to the contractor for use in preparation of reports. A consistent report to detail areas of the Archive will be needed to ensure that archive holdings are not subjected to any possible infestations or other related issues.
(9) Guard booths at the front gate and at the rear gate.
5. Permits: The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, obtain all appointments, licenses, and permits required for the prosecution of the work. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Evidence of such permits and licenses shall be provided to the COR before work commences.
