NOTICE OF AMENDMENT TO PROPOSED PROJECT, PROPOSAL FORM
AMENDMENT 001- Questions and Answers, additional photos, and bunkhouse plans Date: 12/18/2024
PROJECT TITLE: USFWS SHELDON NWR BUNKHOUSE HVAC
All, This serves as an amendment to the above referenced project.
1. Question: The current unit sizing doesn't calculate to be able to perform correctly based on the square footage of the building. They mention in the SOW that they would like to keep the same duct work. However, to size the equipment correctly there would need to be some changes to the duct work.
Answer: Size the replacement unit to fit the existing ductwork.
2. Question: We need to know the existing duct work size is specifically the plenum and runs. Height, width, depth, and diameter.
Answer: Please refer to the drawings.
3. Question: What is the topography of the building site? Very sunny, lots of shade etc?
Answer: The site is exposed sunny and flat.
4. Question: I need to know the gauge wire going to the indoor and outdoor unit. What is the breaker size on those units. (in the electric panel) A photo will work and we can determine this.
Answer: Please refer to attached photo.
5. Question: To ensure we get the load size correct it would help to understand how this building is used. What is the max number of people the building sleeps?
Answer: 8 people.
6. Question: If needed can heat runs be added? It mentions using the existing the duct work and we just want to be sure it can be altered, if needed.
Answer: No additional duct work will be added. Only replacing the existing HVAC unit
(AC/heat pump) using the existing ducting.
7. Question: Does the bunkhouse already have a system in place that we are changing out or is this a brand new Install on existing structure?
Answer: There is an existing system in place. See photos.
8. Question: Is there 220v available?
Answer: Yes.
9. Question: Are you looking for a minisplit or heat pump?
Answer: Heat pump.
10. Question: Is there ducting already in place?
Answer: Yes.
11. Question: If not, and they want a heat pump, is it an exposed ceiling with rafters that we suspend a duct run?
Answer: Ducting exists under the bunkhouse.
12. Question: Please provide clear photos of the electrical panel, showing breaker sizes and any labels for existing circuits related to the HVAC system.
Answer: Photos attached.
13. Question: Please provide clear photos of any additional details or photos of the bunkhouse that might be helpful for assessing the project's scope.
14. Question: Please send us a building plan and dimensions of the bunkhouse and more photos. If there is no existing architectural plan, a simple drawing with rooms and dimensions will do.
Answer: Bunkhouse plans attached.
15. Question: Would we be able to have some pictures provided of the site for the electrical panel and ductwork as installed?
16. Question: Are there any as built drawings of the building and systems in place?
