About this file

This combined synopsis and solicitation requests quotes for hazardous fuels reduction services at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge in Minnesota. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires vendors to remove all material from multiple sites greater than 6 inches in diameter within 50 feet of the refuge boundary, and remove only snags and dead and down material between 50 to 120 feet from the boundary. Quotes are due by June 1st, 2022 and the period of performance is from August 2nd, 2022 through February 28th, 2023. The requirement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310 with a size standard of $20.5 million. Vendors must provide their qualifications, insurance, unit pricing and total pricing in response. A site visit will be held on July 7th for interested vendors. The award will be made based on best value to the government.

A2: Per the solicitation guidance, vendors shall provide a quote showing their cost per unit and cost per acre to remove all material from the site. In addition, vendors will be allowed the option to provide a 2d quote for pile and burning. US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) will determine which method upon contract award.
