Text version
1. Scope of Work General – A turnkey/commissioned/functioning installation will require a connectivity plan from the EVSE manufacturer, and we recommend requiring at least one year of network services in the scope of work. Please confirm.
The requirements for connectivity and software capabilities are spelled out in the scope of work. There is no requirement for ongoing services at this time.
2. Scope of Work General – Please confirm that contractors are responsible for all costs associated with commissioning the equipment, whether performed by in-house certified technicians or by the EVSE manufacturer.
There is no requirement for 3rd party or manufacturer commissioning in the scope of work.
3. Scope of Work General – Please provide the floor plan drawing for the entire garage building. It appears that snips provided with the RFP documents were taken from an overall floorplan (GSA Assignment Drawings or similar). The full floor plan which shows the hallway, electrical room, etc. would be ideal for use to accurately finalizing our estimate.
I have attached PDF files of the basement and parking areas.
4. General Notes Item 6 – “The Contractor and its personnel will comply with the guidelines and requirements established by Departmental physical-security officials”. Please provide a copy of these requirements or a brief description of any security procedures which could affect our ability to perform the work (citizenship requirements, HSPD12 badging costs, training costs, background check costs, escort requirements, daily security scans, etc.).
There are two entrances to the Stewart Lee Udall Building. The main entrance on C Street is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; the E Street entrance is open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., on normal workdays (Monday-Friday). Both entrances are accessible. All entrants must present a valid government issued photo ID (e.g. a driver’s license).
6. General Notes Item 10 – “Vehicle size and height are limited at this location due to garage entry heights…”. What is the approximate gate/entrance height? We want to know if a one-ton service truck or van with ladders will be able to park onsite.
Maximum vehicle height is 7 feet. Maximum recommended vehicle length is 200 inches.
7. Scope of Work Item 6 – Please provide the kW rating of the proposed new Level 2 Charging stations. We would recommend 7.2 kW units fed by a 40A circuit breaker with an active shared load management system. Higher output Level 2 units are available, but load calculations are needed to ensure proper operation. The load management system would allow for additional chargers to be installed without potentially exceeding the capacity of existing electric infrastructure.
A minimum of 10 kW per port will be required.
8. Scope of Work Item 6 – Please provide electric drawings, including panel schedules.
No such drawings are available or will be provided.
