About this file

This document appears to be a set of questions and answers related to RFQ No. 140A0924Q0078 for Environmental Assessments for the Northern Navajo. The key details are:

The environmental surveys will be limited to the 8-mile fence line, with the biological survey focused on the fence line and the rangeland vegetation survey covering the entire acreage within the fence line. The government confirmed the specific species to focus on will be identified in the Statement of Work and by the Navajo Fish and Wildlife. Respondents are requested to provide a lump sum, signed, and dated quote, rather than an itemized breakdown, and can assume a maximum disturbance width of 50 feet for fence construction/upgrade, with a new road following the new fence line.

RFQ No. 140A0924Q0078

· Can you confirm that the archaeological survey will only be limited to the fence line which is estimated at 8 miles long?

Govt. Response: Yes, both Archaeological and Biological Surveys will be limited to the fence lines.

· Can you confirm that the biological survey and rangeland survey includes the entire acreage within the fence line?

Govt. Response: The Biological survey will be limited to the fence line. Only the rangeland vegetation survey includes the entire acreage within the fenceline.

· Are there specific species the Navajo Nation or BIA will want to focus on for the biological survey?

Govt. Response: The specific species are identified in the SOW and the BIA can provide the data call provided by the Navajo Fish and Wildlife.

· Are you requesting a lump sum signed and dated quote or are you requesting an itemized breakdown with title, wages, hours, etc. as noted in the Book 1 Price Schedule?

Govt. Response: Requesting a lump sum signed and dated quote. Itemized breakdown was program budget narrative for justification to obligate money.

· If you are looking for the itemized breakdown, should we use the number of hours that are noted in the original solicitation?

Govt. Response: no itemized breakdown needed.

· Can we assume that the disturbance area for fence construction/upgrade has a width of no more than 50 feet?

Govt. Response: Yes, no more than 50 feet and a new road will follow the new fence line.
