This purchase is required to determine the mean state of temperature and salinity in the full-depth ocean and their variations from monthly to secular time-scales. The goal is to expand the highly successful Argo Program (http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/phod/argo/) which currently globally samples profiles of temperature and salinity on 10-day cycles from 0-2000 dbar to full depth (0-6000 dbar). This purchase will allow regional pilot array deployments towards that goal.
The Government anticipates award of a single Contract. The procurement is anticipated to be a firm fixed price contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, with a corresponding size standard of $25.5M.
The Delivery Schedule will be no more than 11 months after receipt of order (ARO). FAR Parts 12 and 13 are expected to be used for this requirement.
(17) Place of Contract acceptance:
NOAA/PMEL
7600 Sand Point Way, NE Seattle, Washington, 98115
(18) Set-aside Status: This procurement unrestricted.
