Attachment 0001 Solicitation 1305M2-Q-01443 Amendment A-20-0001 1305M2-20-Q-01443 Amendment A-20-0001 Questions and Answers Vendor Question 1 Can you provide more information on how these GNSS receivers will be utilized?
Government Answer 1 The GNSS receivers will be used at NOAA/NGS Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) and partner stations where NGS ingests their data files. This data is then post processed and used to establish the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS) as well as tracking land movement and velocies.
Vendor Question 2 What is the required level of accuracy?
Government Answer 2 Typically the accuracy is measured to a cm level - in post processing, NGS is able to calculate down to mm level.
Vendor Question 3 Is this an RFQ for Base Station's or Rovers?
Government Answer 3 GNSS units will be deployed to NGS-owned and operated permanent CORS stations with the antenna mounted on permanent monuments.
Vendor Question 4 Is there a reason why Trimble is the only listed manufacturer for this RFQ for GNSS receivers?
Government Answer 4 Trimble is the manufacturer selected and is currently in use to maintain equipment configuration management protocols for the NGS' CORS stations.
Vendor Question 5 Will quotes for alternative manufacturers’ products which can perform the same or better as the listed receiver, Trimble Alloy GNSS Receiver, be accepted?
Government Answer 1 Only Trimble Alloy GNSS Receivers will be accepted, this is a brand name requirement.
