Statement of Work Roofing and Building Repairs Jimmy Carter Plant Materials Center

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Jimmy Carter Plant Materials Center (JCPMC) in Americus, Georgia has a requirement for:

· site prep/site cleanup,

· removal and replacement of existing components/infrastructure

· installation of new items in the Seed House and Plant Storage Building.

Site location: 295 Morris Drive, Sumter County, Americus, Georgia 31719.

Contractor shall:

· obtain all applicable permits

· complete work in accordance with all applicable building codes

· take/verify measurements/dimensions for accuracy and proper fit and function of materials

· perform electrical work with a licensed electrician

· verify compatibility of all electrical components to be installed with the existing buildings electrical service

· comply with manufacturer’s recommendations, recognized industry standards, and NEC and local building codes for all installation, wiring, and electrical connections

· protect areas surrounding work areas from damage

· properly dispose of all scrap, waste, and debris resulting from work

· prevent damage to identified salvage items

· provide material specifications to Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for review/approval prior to installation

· not smoke in any government building

· have use of government bathroom and hand washing facilities within identified building. Exact location is shown on building layout map and will be identified during the site visit.

· parking for Contractor personnel provided in gravel lot adjacent to building with the identified bathroom and hand washing facilities.

Period of performance: 60 calendar days.

Items to be salvaged are noted in the specifications and remain property of the Plant Materials Center.
