QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

RFQ 12FPC323Q0011

NRCS-E. Texas PMC Janitorial Services

1. Who is the incumbent and what is the annual amount of the contract? There is currently no contract in place, but the previous contract (ended in April of 2022) was with Christian Okoye for an annual amount of $4,938.96.

2. How would you like the proposal submitted? Please refer to the RFQ document/package which contains all details for submission.

3. What site restrictions or security requirements should we be aware of? There is a locked gate to go through if working outside of business hours of the office. Sometimes the lock is stiff.

4. What day do you prefer for weekly service? No preference, any day Monday-Friday as the RFQ states.

5. How many employees at this facility and how many daily visitors? The office is staffed with 8 staff members, however it is rare to have more than 5 on the premises daily. Some are students that come in every day and others telework some. We rarely have visitors unless we have a meeting. During meetings we can have up to 70 people here, but they are infrequent.

6. What licenses are being referenced to for the Janitorial Services Project at the East Texas Plant Material Center? Contractor must be licensed and insured in the state of Texas.

7. Would equipment, materials and supplies need to be brought to the PMC each week, quarterly and yearly or will there be a janitorial closet available for storage of necessary equipment, materials, and supplies? Stocking supplies is up to the contractor. There is a closet to store materials in and a 3 yard dumpster located on the facility for trash disposal.

8. There are no light bulbs, they are LED stuck-on strips. Is that something that still has to be changed? Yes, these would need to be changed as necessary.

9. How much paper products are used on a monthly basis? There is no number for this. We would need to have toilet paper, c-fold napkins, and paper towels available. There is a supply closet to store items and they can be replaced as needed. Needs would not be excessive.

10. The bid states to use floor finish, how many coats of wax are wanted? The flooring is wood plank tile and cement in all buildings. Waxing will not be required.
